Nika is very ambitious in her work life and in her physical activities. Her professional work kept her busy, and she wanted to be able to come home and play just as hard as she worked. And for Nika, running 5ks and hiking every weekend in the spring, fall, and summer was what brought her joy.
Because she wanted weight loss as well, she worked with Coach Katrina on nutrition as part of her Intentional Fitness program. Her exercise was slowly progressed and included targeted isometric exercise to account for the knee instability that was likely contributing to her knee pain. In a short amount of time, Nika was building incredible strength and muscle, and was re-learning to run. As you can see, in the pictures below, Nika was able to return to running 5ks - pain free.
